Jebo <Jebo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> stated, which I commented on below:
I'm looking for a way to block users from installing software on the
boot partition. I don't care of they install it on another drive
letter and actually I prefer it. I'm just looking for a way to make
sure they can't
any ideas
As Jorge suggested, I don't think there's specific settings to control what
drive to use for software installations. But my bigger observation is, why
even bother to allow users to install software? With all of our customers,
we do not allow this, for it just causes numerous problems from spyware to
viruses. But of course, I can understand if politics have a factor with this
whereas I would just put the specific user account in the local admin group
on that specific workstation (as Jorge also suggested) and tell them NO C:
drive installations.
