If you're asking how you can apply a GPO to an OU that contains a mixture of
Win 2000, XP and server objects but only have the GPO apply to the computer
objects, then you can't do what you want via WMI filters. WMI filters are a
new feature in XP and 2003. When a 2000 machine encounters them, they
always evaluate to true, therefore will apply. So, as you wish to exclude
Windows 2000 servers, your best option is GPO filtering. Add all the
server's computer objects to a group and deny that group apply policy
permissions for the GPO(s) in question:
