I would be inclined to believe you either have replication issues in your
environment or an automated provisioning process is setting this field.

hi everyone. heres the issue... if you open ADUC, right click your domain,
and choose properties, theres a field for a "Description".
the other day i noticed that this field was set to someones name. i
cleared it, and didnt think anything of it. today the name was back! i
called the user and he had no idea what i was talking about.
flash back 2 years... working at another company (Fortune 500 Enterprise
level)... same thing happened. called the user, he had no idea what i was
talking about. the user at that time was just a regular user in AD, so
wouldnt even have rights to set the description himself.
have i found a very strange bug? or is there some logging i can enable to
find out who's doing this?
.
