I meant to say the XP FW or any other FW that you might have in Windows.
Actually I already have a similar issue, and I know that is a simple thing
(in my case), but unfortunately I just can't remember what it was, I'm
trying to help you but I just can find anything relevant nor I can remember
how I solved in the past.

Opening and working with other MMC Consoles are without problems.
What do you mean with "Disable FW"?

Hello,
thanks for helping me!
i have checked the running processes and i`ve stopped the antivirus
process.
But this didn`t help me. The MMC stops responding.
So i have stopped many other processes, but it didn`t work also.
This Error is on all XP SP2 Workstations i have testet. But it didn`t
occur
on Servers
I`have already installed the latest Adminpak. I have also the Upgrade
to
the
MMC 3.0
Any Ideas?
Best Regards

Hi
Check any process that is blocking the mmc console from functioning
correctly (Antivirus ant spam etc...), or any process that might be
interfering with the mmc functionality.
Install the latest Admin tools from MS site

Does this happen only in that wkst or in all wkst?

Hi NG,
i am running the ADUAC Snap in another User Context. The Snap in is
from
the
Windows 2003 Server CD. My Client is Windows XP SP2. Our Forest has
ca
50
DCs
(2 of them are in my Site)
I have the following problem:
After searching a User in the Search Applet, normaly i click
Properties
to
see the User Properties. Afterwards i click Cancel to close the
Properties
Sheet. Now (with 50% probability) the Snap in Stops responding. I
must
close
the whole Program with the Task Manager.
Can anyone help me?
Regards to all
