Seize FSMO Role when first forest is gone

I have a problem where I'm working with an Active Directory domain that
used to be a separate domain in a forest but that first forest is no
longer reachable.

I'm working on migrating the accounts from this domain to a different
domain. It keeps failing however, and I suspect (maybe incorrectly)
that part of the problem is the FSMO roles are non-existent since the
Schema and Domain Naming FSMO roles are located in that no longer
reachable forest.

So...how can I get those FSMO roles seized so I can continue work on
this migration?

Google searches are proving futile and actually landed me here to your
site.

Thanks,
Dale
