Re: Creating Roaming profile problem

The laptop is joined to the domain and the account I used to access user
profiles on the laptop is domain admin.

is your laptop a member of the domain and is the account you are using
part
of the domain admin group?

I meant User Profiles

Not sure that rebooting will make a difference but will try.
I can see the test user and domain in the profile list.
When I click on the test user, it does not give me the option to do a
"copy
to".

I'm having trouble trying to create a test roaming profile on a
win2003
server..
I did the following procedures:
setup test user in AD
went to a laptop and logged in as test user
logged off laptop
**now here is where the trouble begins **
I log back on the laptop with admin rights
I select advanced in system properties
I click on user files
The list shows the "test user"
However, it will not give me an option to "copy to" , which copies the
local profile to the server on a designated share.

What am I doing wrong?

I need to get this to work before I can deploy roaming to other users
by
specifying \\server\profile\%username%
in user profiles.
