I enabled this setting in the domain policy. Do you have any idea why the
desktop backgrounds that are being set up by my users are being saved? When
they log in their custom backgrounds are still there.

I have a media center that consists of 13 computers used by students.
2 machines have the full version of our media center software and the
necessary desktop icons and its own dot matrix printer.
1 machine has a local color printer

The balance of the machines have the catalog portion of the media center

I would like input on how to set up a policy so that the desktops cannot
be
changed.
I know I could assign a mandatory profile to a group of users but here is
my
dilemma. Some of the users also work in the media center and need to
access
the machines with the full media center program and its desktop icons. I
don't want these users sitting at a "general" computer versus the
"circulation" computer getting all the desktop icons.
also, the one computer has a local color printer and another one has a
local
scanner.
I know I can share out the printer but I've heard nightmares about sharing
scanners. Its a low end scanner.
I know I can use the "net use" command. I have two networked printers
already.
what would be the best approach? Should I just use a GPO that will not
save desktop settings upon exit?
