Has admt been installed in the target domain and run from there? Since they.
are both 2003 and the same forest there should be a default implicit trust.
If you are trying to migrate computers then the source machines must have
the migrating user id in the local admins group (Or be a member of a group
that is in the Local Admins group).
If you can't provide any error numbers or info, the best anyone is going to
be able to provide is a how to guide.

Ok
You're right. I'll try to explain.
I've configure one domain and one subdomain. One dc per domain.
I think I don't need relationship trust because they are in the same
forest.
Both are win2003 server standard edition.
I've installed the tool and msde. No problem.
I open it, when I select a wizard for something (users, computers, ...) it
demands me source domain and server for it and i put it. The same for
destination. When I click continue it says something like is not original.
I
can't tell you the esact message because it's in spanish.
The user I use is administrator of the principal domain.
And I haven't found any log but sql logs and the don't show any errors.
thanks

Hi,
I have one domain and 3 subdomains. I'd like to have just one, so I
need
to
migrate. I have read about admt but as i don't have preproduction
enviroment,
I've used virtual one.
I get an error. It says the destination is not original. What does it
means?
You will do much better if you quote the exact error message,
in full, and accompany it with exactly what you were doing
when the error occurred (we can presume you were running
ADMT but you don't actually say that and more importantly
you don't say what you were doing....)
ADMT has logs too.
[Caveat: I won't be around much today or this week but
someone will surely help you if you explain your exact
problem consisely....]
Also note that in general, ADMT requires the Source Domain
to TRUST the Destination and that you be an Admin in both
places.
This means your Name Resolution must work, DNS for a
single forest and perhaps NetBIOS (including WINS if
subnets are involved) for EXTERNAL trusts from NT or
other Forest Domains.
