Need A refresher On Pushing Updates

I have a windows 2000 server domain (all windows 2000 servers) i have a
few 2003 servers none have been pormoted yet. I need to push some
updates via active directory, i learn how to do this a few years back.
I have sense forgoten how. These updates would be pushed to many XP pro
machines a few 2000 pro machines no 98 or 95/nt machines. If i can help
with more information please let me know what you need to solve this
problem.

I have read on microsofts page about this, and as always the search
sent me into all different types of bad directions. I didn't just come
here first, i tried to research it.
