Re: weighted DC preferences for user login *within* a site?

Hi

You'll need one site for each subnet, and relate the apropriate subnets with
the repective site, make sure that each client uses the local DNS server on
its site (you can make each DC as DNS AD Integrated).
You can also make each DC a GC so that everything stays in local site, if

resides outside of a client's site

Hello all, I've got 3 locations, all connected via 100 mb link.
Everything I have read says that for my scenario, these locations
should be managed within the same AD site. (the bandwidth price is not
an issue, nor time of day, etc. These links are hot 24/7, are all
within 20 miles or so of each other, and are very reliable).

Link A - subnet A, contains a DC "Alpha"
Link B - subnet B, contains a DC "Bravo"
Link C - subnet C, does not have a DC

So - Can I, without separating the locations into different AD sites,
set a preference for a user to authenticate to a DC that's "local" to
it, as in user A first tries to authenticate to Alpha and user in
subnet B first tried Bravo?

Thanks, and reverence,
Rafael
