Hi
For R2
You need to run forestprep from CD2
Drive:\CMPNENTS\R2\ADPREP\adprep.exe /forestprep
Error message when you run the Active Directory Installation Wizard: "The
version of the Active Directory schema of the source forest is not
compatible with the version of Active Directory on this computer"

How to determine the version of Windows Server 2003 R2 that is running on a
computer

I hope that the information above helps you

Hello
I have windows 2000 domain in native mode with two sites each site contain
two domain controllers. For upgrade of windows 2000 domain to windows 2003
domain I have run the following command on one of DC which has all FMSO
roles, these command I have run from windows 2003 R2 STD CD
Adprep /forestprep
Adprep /domainprep
Adprep /gpprep
after one week I prepared on server with windows 2003 R2 STD and try to
run
DCPROMO but it failed with following error
"The Active Directory Installation Wizard cannot continue because the
forest
is not prepared for installing Windows Server 2003. Use the Adprep
command-line tool to prepare both the forest and the domain. For more
information about using the Adprep, see Active Directory Help. (8467)"
Again I try to run ADPREP/FORESTPREP but it give me message
"Forest-wide information has already been updated.
[Status/Consequence]
Adprep did not attempt to rerun this operation"
What could be wrong
