Tombstone problem

Hi,
I've been a bad boy and didn't fix the network problems to our remote
site. This I'm paying for now - in blood, alot of sweat and tears.
I'm getting all sorts of Lingering objects errors which I've tried to
solve both with the help of google and Microsoft KBs but I just can't
figure out what to put as parameters for regadmin, unfortunantly.
The few times I've managed to get it to not complain about the
parameters it spawns some obscure text about not being able to replicate
and then exists again - probably because there was something wrong with
the parameters after all...
Then a couple of days ago a new NTDS Replication event (a warning this
time) appeared in the logs - "The remote server which is the owner of a
FSMO role is not responding".
This was the final straw... I've decided to rereplicate all information
from the master server - hoping that there are no errors on that one at
least. So my actual question after all this is, is there a better way to
get AD to replace the database on a "BDC" (yes I know that they don't
really exist anymore) than using DCPROMO? If so, how?
The computers are on different networks - connected to eachother with
Cisco routers and an IPSec tunnel. Hence they can ping eachothers local
IP without any knowledge of the tunnel, so I'm quite confident my
problem is not related to this (or that this is prevening me to solve
the problem).
Thanks in advance
Fredrik
