Re: Interforest trust

I would agree but I have found that when troubleshooting if the admins can
see the foreign domain on there own dns server it really eliminates
confusion.

For starters make the each others dns domain a secondary of the other.

Is there a firewall that sits between the two forests, if so then you
will need to open up holes.

Hi,

I have two forests one is called Solar (with a single level name in
mixed
mode on a 2000 domain), and the other is called Ursa.com (on a 2003
domain in
native mode) The domain controllers are also in different networks, but
they
can ping each other.

When I try to setup an interforest trust from either network I receive
the
message that the specified domain cannot be contacted. What could be
causing
this and how can I correct it?

Thanks,
Markus
