Re: Security Question between NT4 Domain and AD

Establish a trust and you should be able to. You will need a trust to use
ADMT anyway.

I currently have a NT4 domain and an 2003 AD setup. All users login to the
nt4 domain. A few of us occassionsally login to AD but find it
frustrating
that we don't have the same access to files and folders necessary to work
effeciently. I have not migrated any of the NT4 domain servers or
computers
into AD, which I believe will bring over the present security settings
(Using
ADMT). My question is as follows:

Is there a way to copy the security of the nt4 domain into AD, allowing
users in both domains to work as expected? For example, I personally
would
login to AD daily if I had the same access as when logging into the NT
domain.

Any help would be much appreciated.

By the way, everyone will eventually be in AD in the coming months.
