Re: Replication Problems

Yes you should post any errors you see, from what you have provided so far
people would only be able to guess.

I would run the following, if dnslint isn;t showing any errors then I
wouldn't bother posting.

dcdiag /e /c /v /s:DC_Name /f:c:\dcdiag.log
netdiag.exe /v > c:\netdiag.log
repadmin.exe /showrepl dc* /verbose /all /intersite > c:\repl.txt

Hi Hope someone can help.

I think that this MAY be DNS related.

I have a domain with two DCs. One also runs Exchange and the other one
has
the PDC and DNS server roles. The PDC can see, connect, logon and
replicate
to the Exchange server.

If I try to connect to the hostname of the PDC in Explorer, for example,
it
gives a "target account name is incorrect" error, but if I use the IP
address, it connects and shows the shares without issue. However pinging
the
hostname resolves it to the correct IP address and replies.

This server is not replicating and the exchange services will not start.

DNSLInt doesn't show any errors. DCDiag passes almost everything :-)

There were tombstone replication errors in the log and I've made the
registry entries to allow these to be ignored.

I'm stuck and woud aprreciate any assistance I can post dcdiag and dnslint
resullts if necessary

.
