As I recal you have to manually start the Password Export Service on the
source DC. I believe it's startup is default set to manual. Are you using
the migrate.chm help file as guidance?

I am trying to migrate an existing win 2k3 domain to a new win2k3
domain (we
were bought). I have admt 3 installed on a win2k3 server in my target
domain, and have genereated the pes file. I installed the password
migration
on a dc in my source domain, and rebooted. I have set all the nec,
registry
entries, groups etc...
when I attempt to migrate, a user and migrate password I get
"Unable to establish a session with the password export server. The
specified service does not exist as an installed service."
I have looked every where nad tried reinstalling the password
migration on
my dc, and i can't find anything. I've searched multiple news groups
and
other are having similar issues, but nobody seems to share the final
answer.
Can someone please help?
