I hope I am placing this in the correct forum, if not PLEASE let me know
where I should post this. Thanks,
I am trying to set up a logon script so that all users when they log on
will
get drive mappings set. Our DC is on a Win2000 server, I have some users
who
have WinXP and some user that have Win2000. I also have 2 servers that
are
Win2003, and 2 other servers that are Win2000. I followed instructions
from
a book for GP and setting up a logon script. It was just one line that
said
NET SEND ADMINISTRATOR "HELLO".
When I logged off my system and logged back on, the DC would get the
message
from the system that i logged in on that said
MESSAGE FROM COMPUTERNAME HELLO
but my system never got the message.
I created a batch file in notepad and typed in the Net send line, saved it
in the %systemRoot%\sysvol\domain name\scripts\ folder.
Right now there is no logon script for these users so i can not follow
that.
Any ideas, suggestion!
