The reasons why prices aren't published are many. Its on a moving scale,
the more you buy, the less expensive it gets. Plus, pricing can change due
to specific factors. Its easy enough to just call and get a quote for your
environment. Not only that, you can get signed up for some time with an
engineer to show you. Not everyone realizes right off the bat all the ways
that a product like this can help. There are so many different things that
a tool like this can do, it is helpful to have someone show you how you can
get your money's worth. The idea is to be a full featured tool that meets
your AD and FS management needs.
You mentioned one particular product that may have a good value for you, but
maybe not for someone else. Some products do a LOT more than others and
offer a lot more flexibility and support.

A number of other products do this too, but most of them charge per user or
computer, which makes them rather expensive. The dsrazor site does not give
prices. I always assume if they don't give prices its because it would stop
you if you knew. The problem for me is that $5-10 per user doesn't sound a
lot, but by the time you have done this for every utility you are spending
way too much. So you either need free/low cost utilities to help out a bit,
or you need one full featured tool that is going to reduce your support
costs in a big way.
Hyena is the only one I know that charges per operator, and so is very
good value for money.

The problem with doing this with GPOs and startup/login scripts is
sometimes you're never really sure when it has been applied... unless you
reboot all of your machines.
DSRAZOR for Windows has an applet that takes care of this job very
simply. Its just as easy as changing the password on a user account in
Active Directory.
You drill down to the OU with th ecomputer accounts in Active Directory
(or search your whole domain), do a shift-select to select all machines
(or just select the ones you want), and press the Reset Password button.
Enter your new password and click OK.
It does not matter if you have renamed your local administrator accounts,
it looks for the local user account with SID ending in 500.

centrally - using Group Policy or script? Pls assist.
