I don't think i figured everything out. I still can't ping the server from
any workstation in the same subnet.
any workstation outside the subnet, and server, can resolve this box.
The problem is, the traffic may not be relegated to just icmp.
a Dell software enginner mentioned it could be a group policy opbject that
was upgraded from win2k that possibly applies to the "main office" and
enabled the Windows ICF or IPSEC
thoughts on what to do ?
run gpinventory and gpmc reports to verify ?
