there was one piece of info missing and had to do with the names of the
domains. I did not understand, so that's why I asked. In your other post you
mentioned DOMAIN RENAME and I understood. My next question however was going
to be "did you perform EVERY step in the procedure in a correct way"?
As you found yourself..no, because you missed the last step
on both DCs...run...
DCDIAG /C /V /D
NETDIAG /DEBUG /V
to check their health

Alright, well I feel like an idiot. I went to promote another computer to
a DC so that I could tranfer the roles over and see if that fixed my
issue. During the promotion an error came up saying "The Directory
Service cannot perform the requested operation because a domain rename
operation is in progress".
It turns out that I forgot to run "rendom.exe /end" to unfreeze the
directory after the rename.
I ran that from the machine that we used to do the domain rename
operations and now I am able to setup the trust successfully.
Thank you for your help, and I'm just glad to have this over with.

I have been having some AD issues after moving our directory over to a
2003

I have been having a problem setting up a trust, so I just cranked the
NTDS
logging values up to 6 and here are the pertinent errors I am getting, in
order:

This error seems to be happening when NETDOM is trying to add the
ferraricolor.net trustedDomain object to the CN=System,DC... container.
ferraricolor.net is the domain that I am trying to set up a trust with
from
the ferraricolor.com domain.
Thanks for any help guys.
