Re: Forest Two-Way Transative Trust Problem

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I set up WINS and the problem seems to have changed a little.

I'm still running the command: dcdiage /v /c
/testdomain:olddomain/newdomain <- opposite of domain run in.

When I run it fropm the newdomain it all passes. When I run it from
the olddomain it fails the OutboundSecureChannels test.

It fails claiming that the DC's in olddomain "Does not have downlevel
trust object for [newdomain.domain]" as well as "Does not have uplevel
trust object for [newdomain.domain]."

It reports this after it reports that the Secure Channel is working
properly. It lists these three lines once for each DC at this site.

So far all I've found dealing with the outboundsecurechannels results
points at the secure channel itself being a problem. This doesn't
appear to be the case for me, and the other errors I get don't match up
with the fixes for that.

I'll work on getting WINS set up today as well and keep you all posted.
