Feddie <Feddie@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> stated, which I commented on
below:
I have been assigned a request to audit close to 50 servers (Windows
2000/2003) where management wants to find how Event Viewer is
configured on the servers. For instance, what is the "Maximum log
size" & "When maximum log size is reached" options are configured for
"Application" log.
Is there a way to automate this process? Any help in this regard
would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Feddie
You can either use Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005 or a 3rd party
utility. We have been using MOM 2005 with two of our customers. Nice tool.
Eases the ability to keep tabs on 30+ servers. But as for configuring the
event log sizes, etc, you can do that in a GPO.
