These error messages indicate the Windows workstation or server computer
account information does not match that held by the authenticating domain
controller.
Solutions:
1. Reset the machine account by using the Active Directory. You can
right-click the computer object in the Computers or appropriate container
and then click Reset Account.
2. Remove and then re-join the computer from/to the domain.
3. Use Netdom.exe or Nltest.exe to reset security and trust relationship
- Are the machines only using their local DNS server?
- I already read that in some situations that the FW was responsible for
this.

Hello M. Silva,
The security policy for theses parameters are not set.
I think he was logging out for the 2nd or the 3rd time.
I don't think this was the cause. He has the same symptom that others
workstations. With or without the network theses workstation wasn't able
to
authenticate in the network.
Usually we need to make a new ID for the workstation, going out of the
domain and re-join the domain. This operation consume time for us and for
users; and it's not a good solution having to make new ID's regularly.
Have you got other possible causes to tell me ?
I will try to keep one workstation on my office next time it happens in
order to investigate more symptoms. because i remenber that domain
administrator's login (which was the account used to join the domain) was
able to login to the domain;
Other symptom is : the SID of the account "administrateur" was visible in
local SAM when viewing the administrator group.
thanks for your help.

Hi
How is the security policy on these Machines? By default (Assuming
Windows
2003) they're able to logon 10 times with no DC.
"Interactive logon:Number of previous logons to cache (in case of no DC
available)"
also check:
"Interactive logon:Require DC authentication to unlock workstation"

Hello everybody,
I have looked all around to get a solution about this event ID 5719.
This problem appears Monday 17/07/06, on a XP SP2 client;
My boss was at home and tried to log in (normal) and he got this event
5719
!!!!
With no network at all windows tried to get a DC ??
For all, windows cache login information in order to let the user use
his
windows when he is not in the office. That wasn't the first time he
logged
in
offline but for the first time he refused to log in. Any idea ?
Sometimes, some of users have the same symptoms in the company. Their
configuration is well done, no LMHOST, no Wins. And last time, on
monday
morning 10 users has this symtom; they are on the network but we need
to
put
them in a workgroup and re-join the domain. strange, no ?
On the system event log of the DC, some event ID 5513 but theses
workstations haven't this problem.
Could anyone help me ?
Thanks,
Paul Goncalves
.
