That is the part that dissapointed me the most, I had run those diagnostic
utilities upwards of 20 times and they didn't detect a locked schema or a
partially completed domain rename. Especially considering the dcpromo
process knew exactly what the problems was. Also the error messages
returned
by the tools used to setup the trusts is severely lacking.

Oh well, there is not really an excuse for not carefully following the
documentation.
