Re: ADAMSync Issues.

Hi

looks like progress.

on 2) you do not need to be an Admin to run an initial sync however
if you are not you may miss some changes on the AD side e.g. deletes
in which case the only way to clean up defunct objects in the ADAM target
is to age them out.

on 3) The DCLocator error I still suspect is a DNS issue using the IP
address would produce the same error. It does not seem to be causing
a serious problem.

on 4) Domain Users is a group it is possible to do an initial sync based on
group membership but I'm sure how that fares when membership changes
I would have to test it. What I had in mind was speaking to your AD admins
to find out if there is an OU or CN that contains the users of interest.

Hey Lee,

Thanks again. To answer your questions:

1) I added the "exclude" statements previously after receiving some
objclass errors. I am removing them now. Also change
"(&(objectCategory=Person)(objectClass=User))"

2) The ID is use is not a full admin ID. However, it does have the
ability to lookup AD. Is there any specific access right I need for
this ID?

3) As with the "DCLocator..." error, I have tested using just the IP
and still receive the same error. Clueless on this.

4) Regarding start point in AD, I am thinking about either using
"Domain Users" or "AllUsers" since all I want is a complete list of
every user withing the AD. Not sure how to setup this up since both
these (OU or CN) are not visible.

Okay, after making the above changes, it seems to work now. The only
error I have now is still the
