deleting old DC record from the domain

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

While performing an FRSDiag on my Windows 2003 native active directory
domain/forest, I came across an old record/error:

Checking for errors/warnings in ntfrsutl ds ...

ERROR : missing serverReference for server "STAIRWAYTOHEAVE"

See KB Article : 312862 Recovering Missing FRS Objects and FRS Attributes in
Active Directory

ERROR : missing Computer Ref for server "STAIRWAYTOHEAVE"

Look for frsComputerReference on KB Article : 312862 Recovering Missing FRS
Objects and FRS Attributes in Active Directory

.......... failed with 2 error(s)

WARN - STAIRWAYTOHEAVE lacks a settings reference

This is the name of an old DC that is no longer a DC and never will be
again. To get rid of it I assumed the ntdsutil or ADSI Edit would be the
right tools but I am unsure how to proceed since it requires linking to the
DC in question, which is no longer available.

If anyone has some ideas, much appreciated:

Thanks in advance!
