adprep /forestprep /domainprep /gpprep question...

Here's how i set it up:

master dc is win 2k3 x64 sp1 std, the other is win 2k sp4 std

this is a small operation, so our only 2 servers must be dc's

we set up a new dc with the win 2k3. because this is a small
operation, i had the luxury of rebuilding the w2k server. now, though,
the new AD structure stems from the w2k3 server

i did this because i expect the new machine's lifetime will exceed the
old one's, and, that it will eventually be simpler to move on to
something else this way.

question is this: should i run adprep /forestprep /domainprep /gpprep
on the newly built w2k for it to be consistent with the w2k3 dc. i
have no plans to upgrade this machine to w2k3

of course the version included on my media did not account for x86
systems so i downloaded Windows Server 2003 SP1 for x86 and extracted
adprep.exe from it.

i do not run exchange on this network, but may want to in the future

i have not set up WINS on this network, but then again it shouldn't be
a problem in this case

what do you think?
