What information is available when UPGRADING from W2K/E2K to W2K3 (R2)/E2K3?
The following articles will helps you in your migration from W2K/E2K to W2K3
(R2)/E2K3 and especially when doing an in-place upgrade of the domain:

That Contain E2K Servers (http://support.microsoft.com/?id=314649)

completing in Windows 2000 (http://support.microsoft.com/?id=887426)

To update the schema:
* Disable OUTBOUND replication (REPADMIN) on the schema FSMO, extend the
schema and check if everything is OK
* Disable OUTBOUND replication (REPADMIN) on another DC
* Force replication (REPADMIN) between the schema master and the other DC
and check if everything is OK
* If ALL = OK, enable outbound replication on both DCs (REPADMIN)
OR
* Create an additional site and site link (with no schedule) and put the
schema FSMO in it, extend the schema, check if everything is OK, put another
DC in the site, let the extension replicate and check if everything is OK
* If ALL = OK relocate the DCs back to their original site
NOTE:
This information also applies BOTH to W2K3 or W2K3 R2. The only difference
is that W2K3 will update the AD schema to version 30 and W2K3 R2 will update
the AD schema to version 31. Besides that, no interesting differences

Thanks to all for the help...
Jorge,
What do you do to get the "grayed out" text? Whatever it is is causing
Thunderbird to drop everything starting with that text. In effect, I can't
append any part of the thread.....
Regards,
Hank Arnold
