Jorge, GC has this Information event repeating.

NTDS Replication Global Catalog 1110
Promotion of this domain controller to a global catalog will be delayed for
the following interval.

Interval (minutes):
30

This delay is necessary so that the required directory partitions can be
prepared before the global catalog is advertised. In the registry, you can
specify the number of seconds that the directory system agent will wait
before promoting the local domain controller to a global catalog. For more
information about the Global Catalog Delay Advertisement registry value, see
the Resource Kit Distributed Systems Guide.

Prevous Error event was
NTDS General Global Catalog 1126
Active Directory was unable to establish a connection with the global
catalog.

Additional Data
Error value:
1355 The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted.
Internal ID:
3200cd1

User Action:
Make sure a global catalog is available in the forest, and is reachable from
this domain controller. You may use the nltest utility to diagnose this
problem.

Jorge, there is a root DC selected as a GC but it is not functioning it is
waiting for subdomain partition copy which is being held up by access
problems.

Jorge, as far as I know the latest version server 2003 is R2 and that
is
based on SP1. I have not heard of either SP2 or SP3 being available.
I have just checked on the web and could not find any reference to any
SP
other than SP 1.
Could you give me a hint as to where SP3 could be found.

Jorge, additional to note with 2nd DC results..
As I dont have a GC I cannot adjust any security using the normal
GUI
methods.
Do you happen to know how I can resolve the access denied issues
without a
GC?

Frank, I set one of the DCs in the root for GC.
It is being held up by delays in replication of sub-domain
data.
If I use replmon on the subdomain servers they all show
that
replication
is
running ok.
Is there any way I can force the replication?
