Re: Force the preferred Server for Users

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hi Joe

If so, there is no preferred server setting. However, if these are truly
in separate sites and you have your topology (sites and subnets)
configured properly, this is how it should work automatically.

?? can't we use SRV priority and weigh to have a better control on this? If
my memory serves me correctly I already tried this and I have the feeling
that worked.

I assume you mean domain controller by server?

Hi,

Is there a way to force users to login to specific server.

We have 2 servers and want to limit those on site A to server A, and
those on
site B to server B, but retain the functionality if either server falls
over,
the other one can take up the full userbase.

Can we set a preferred server login somewhere?

Thanks.
