replication seems good, the deny errors are because you performed in a DC in
a child domain that doesn't have control of the partitions at the root DC

Frank, I set one of the DCs in the root for GC.
It is being held up by delays in replication of sub-domain data.
If I use replmon on the subdomain servers they all show that
replication
is
running ok.
Is there any way I can force the replication?
