Hi
Disconnect the 2nd DC from network.
than perform metadata cleanup:
How to remove data in Active Directory after an unsuccessful domain
controller demotion

Clean up server metadata
http://technet2.microsoft.com/WindowsServer/en/Library/012793ee-5e8c-4a5c-9f66-4a486a7114fd1033.mspx?mfr=true
You need to manually remove the DC from Active directory and Sites.

Hi, my 2nd. DC fails, doesn't have any FSMO neither GC, just AD.
Now, when start shows the follow message:
lsass.exe - Error del sistema
Error de inicialización del Administrador de cuentas de seguridad por el
siguiente error: No se puede iniciar el servicio de directorio. Estado del
error: 0xc00002e1. Haga click en aceptar para apagar este sistema y
reiniciar en modo a prueba de errores, vea el registro de sucesos para
información más detallada.
And, when before goes shutdown sends its last message:
"Active Directory está generando los índices", but nothing happens in next
reboot.
How can I demote it, I tried with GUI, later with dcpromo /forceremoval
but nothing help, when I review it PC properties appears without domain
joining, just shows *Desconocido* (it means *unknow*).
Note: I forget my last backup state, it runs Win2k3 R2. thanx.
