Got it.
To whom it may concern: it indeed was a policy thingy after all on an item i
didn't expect it to find. Allthough it wasn't defined at all (folder
redirection), the values were different for various users in a less logical
way. By defining it on the right GPO i solved it.

On our workstations who ar part of the Windows Active Directory domain, the
systemvariable "AppData" keeps pointing towards an old server in stead ofa
new one. It seems that nothing works what i try. I stepped through all theit
AD policy's but couldn't find any wrong pointers of the Shell Folders, if
was defined. It's only defined as a policy on the OU for our users as apart
of the "User configuration", "Windows settings", "Folder redirection",with
"Application Data". Here it points to the new location, but as i logon
a test account it still points to the old one.a
Next to it i changed the registry from the account of the user, but after
logoff+logon it was turned to the old value. Next i'd put it in the KIXentry
logon script to change it. This one seems to work: as i create a new value
"Test" in the registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell
Folders\
And give this the UNC-path of our new server it works. But the AppData
seems to remain unchanged... I'm getting a bit desperate here... What's
going (wr)on(g)?
PS
Apologies for multiposting, but i really need an answer...
