Network Setup/Orginization Advice Please

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Hello Experts,

I need some advice please. I have setup my office network with a
win2003 server as a domain controller and it seems to be OK I am just
not 100% sure if how I am doing things is right.

Here's my situation

Server #1: Windows 2003 Ent. - This is strictly my Active Directory
(Domain Controller) Server

Server #2: Sympaq (like MsSQL) server. Runs an SQL server called
Sympaq. This only needs to run the SQL server and share a couple of
folders to the right users from the active directory.

The thing i'm not sure about is how to configure this server. Should I
just make it part of Server#1's domain? Or should I configure it as a
child domain in a forest?

Server #3: Similar to 2 but stricly a file server, uses the active
directory from server#1 to restrict users to their folders. I also
would like to store the user profiles on this machine as it gets backed
up every night.

So there you have it. I think I know what's going on but as this is my
first time setting anything like this up I am a bit nervous about going
live if it's not right. I know how much of a pain it is to fix things
once they've been implemented wrong.

Thanks in advance.
