Re: ADAM dsamain high cpu

Hi

where are you seeing this high CPU usage, on the original
instance or on a newly installed replica?

How often is this occuring? Does it coincide with anything in
the ADAM instance event log?

Some things that can cause high CPU usage are:

installation of a new replica

adding a new index

running a poorly formed query (lack of indexing etc)

Some things you can do to diagnose this:

check ADAM instance event log files

bump the ADAM instance logging levels

run a network sniff

install and run Server Performance Advisor v2.0

Hello,
We have a system of 10 ADAM instances, replicated via site link to one
Unique instance.
there are about 60K objects in one instance.
We are experiencing high CPU utilization, while the dsamain.exe process
is using 80-100 % of the cpu for 30 minutes and then stops.
there isn't any process running because the computer is freshly
installed, and no one is connected to it.
Any ideas will be welcomed.

yoav.
