Hi
what windows account are you attempting to use against the
ADAM server in the workgroup? If you audit logon events
on that server do you see any failures in the security event log?

I have two ADAM servers with unique instances. The first server is a
domain
controller, and the second is in a workgroup. The two servers do not have
like-named accounts and passwords.
I cannot access the ADAM instance on the second server using ADSIEdit or
ldp
from the first using a Windows account, but I can access the first server
from the second using a Windows account. I can, however, access ADAM on
the
second server using ldp and an ADAM account.
Is there a specific permission needed on the hosting server to access ADAM
remotely in this scenario using a Windows account? The ADAM hosting
server
is heavily locked down, so it is possible that some security setting at
the
OS level is preventing remote access.
Thanks.
