WHEN can I install the dsclient on win95?

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

Hi I've seen hundreds of posts telling people they need to install the
dsclient on Windows 95 PC's to connect to an AD but when can I do this?

We are planning an in-place upgrade from NT4 to AD and want to know if
we can install this prior to the upgrade or will this break their
current NT4 client?

I've not installed it as yet.
