Hello.
Yes you can configure the Windows Firewall using Group Policy Settings.
Here is a complete list of all settings that you can modify using Group
Policies.

Hello,

I'm considering various inventory packages. I want one that doesn't
require any interaction on a physical level with the hardware (other than
it being turned on). I want it to gather OS, Software, CPU, Memory etc.
I want it to gather printers etc.

One of the packages I was looking at required certain ports to be open on
the workstations running Windows XP SP2. Is there a way to push out
those port requirements so the workstations will have them open? e.g
logon script or group policy or some such thing?

Thanks

.
