To avoice conflicts surely is the reason to make changes only on
PDC(again, by default). As you already know, admin can always pick up a
differnt DC to make changes.

Not to argue but below is my thought:

If making minor changes will bring the versions back in sync, then what
Henrik saw could have been just a delay - not even an issue. Given
enough time, it might self-cured without any chagne. I pointed him to
FRS because I thought that was a persistent error reported by gpotool.
