Re: CAN'T CONNECT TO AD (VERY URGENT!!)

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hi

Eventlog:
What errors do you see?

Check shares :
type - net share
what shares do you see?

Check services:
on section - Active Directory port and protocol requirements
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=832017

Test with Dcdiag: (Install support tools)
Dcdiag /C /V /D
or
Dcdiag /C /V /D > c:\Dcdiag.log (to save in a file)
What errors do you see? -

If you can't run this tool, and according with your error description, its
likely that you or someone else removes Everyone from the Access This
computer from the network user right and not replacing it with the
appropriate user or group accounts may cause tools not to work

is it syas log or is it sys log? Have you booted from a CD to use the
recovery console (unless you have it installed already)? Did you try
last
know good config? It sounds like you made some changes and rebooted
after
that and have not been able to log on?
