Re: ADMT error when migrate password

I think so. The CHM file gives you the best information, but I always
install on a member server in the Target domain, which I believe is
recommended. ADMTV3 needs to be installed on a 2003 Server.

There should be an installed service on the PES server that you need
to
manually start. Should be in the documentation. Which AMDT version?

Hi,
can anyone help. im trying to migrate user with password.
i got the following error when select 'migrate password' in the
ADMT:
"unable to establish a session with the password export server. the
specified service does not exist as an installed service"

i have done the following:
-A 2-way trust establish on 2 forest.

-Create a new local group in the Source domain called
Source_Domain$$$
(this
group should have no members).
-On the primary domain controller (PDC) in the Source domain, add
the
TcpipClientSupport:REG_DWORD:1. value under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\LSA
-Enable auditing for the success and failure of Audit account
management
on
the Target & Source domain in the Default Domain Controllers policy.
-Disable SID filtering on both domain controllers

PES
-net localgroup "pre-windows 2000 compatible access" "everyone" /add
-net localgroup "pre-windows 2000 compatible access" "anonymous
logon"
/add
-Run i386\admt\pwdmig\pwdmig.exe
Enter password which created in the above step
-IN the PES source domain modify registry.
(HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentcontrolSet\Control\Lsa) Set the value of
AllowPasswordExport to 1
