Re: Trusting between Windows 2003 to Windows NT 4.0

Select articles and click on the nt4 v AD trust, it has a very good article
on establishing a trust. It has troubleshooting help as well.

I am having the same trouble, at the moment we can't get the trust created
from the NT4 PDC, no problem from the 2k3 dc. The actual error we get is:
Could not find domain controller for this domain.
When we type net view "dc name", System error 1788 is returned, event id
5722 is logged on the N4 dc.
We can ping the netbios name of the PDCe from the NT4 PDC.
Should the W2k3 domain name be the pre-Windows2000 name for the NT4's
lmhosts file?
