Thanks for your response. Much appreciated. So is this also true if I
change the parameters on the types of characters they are required to use -
they will not notice a change until they change their password?
If I want to require everyone to change their password would I just go and
highlight the select users in AD and right click properties and then on the
account tab select user must change password on next log in?
Thanks again!!

If I change it to 8 for example will this affect the
ability of those people who have less then for a password to connect?
They wont notice a thing until they try to change their password then your
password parameters will take affect.
Or
will they be able to log in without a problem until I select their
account and select reset password?
This will give you a box where you set their password. You usually "reset"
a password when a user forgets their password.

I would like the change the policy on the required number or characters a
password must be. If I change it to 8 for example will this affect the
ability of those people who have less then for a password to connect? Or
will they be able to log in without a problem until I select their
account and select reset password?
Thanks
.
