Hi there,
What does this errir mean? CSS is our domain name, 172.17.19.85 is the IP
address of the DC's active network card, the DC has three network card but
only one is active. 172.17.19.87 is the main DC with DDNS, secure
update/stored in Active directory. Thanks.
Event Type: Error
Event Source: NetBT
Event Category: None
Event ID: 4321
Date: 2/17/2006
Time: 3:52:27 PM
User: N/A
Computer: ADC2
Description:
The name "CSS :1d" could not be registered on the Interface with
IP address 172.17.19.85. The machine with the IP address 172.17.19.87 did
not allow the name to be claimed by this machine.
You have a duplicate NetBIOS name on your network.
Either you have an actual duplicate or you have connected
two NICs from a single machine into the same "broadcast
domain" (net segment/subnet.)
