Maybe I need to enable the "user account is trusted for delegation" property
in the service account proxying the password change? Or is that settings
only available for computers. I am not near my network at the moment and my
mind has turned into a bit of gray matter on this one.

Good morning,
I have to make my DC listen on the secure LDAP port (636). How do I do
that? Situation below.
I have a network device which needs to proxy a password change to my
Active Directory domain controller. There is a service account I created
in AD which already allows users to type their user names and passwords
into a web-based form which this device presents to the user coming in
over the Internet. When the user enters their user name and password into
the form and clicks OK, this service account talks to AD on behalf of the
user and somehow in this process the credentials are verified. The user
is then authenticated into the network so to speak. This is all working
fine. Now I need users to be able to change their passwords in another
section of the form and to do that I am told I simply need to make my DC
listen on the secure LDAP port (636). How do I do that?
