They are unable to log into the computers if they don't have local
administrator rights. Just gets an error message same as when a password
or
username is incorrect. That is the problem I am trying to fix. Don't know
what is causing it.

Users don't need admin rights to logon to a workstation. Why do you
have to
give the admin permissions? Is there something that they cant do as a
regular user?

Hi,
I have a problem with student logons and have tried various solutions
but
nothing seems to work. I have the main computer room where all the
swithes
and servers are located and a switch connected via fibre optic to feed
a
classroom with 30 computers. The problem I have is that I have to
give
local
administrator rights to the Students group for them to be able to log
into
the machines in this classroom. I don't use roaming profiles for this
accounts. After a student have logged into the machine once, I can
take
the
admin rights away until a new students tries to log into the machine.
I
don't want to give them admin rights on the machines as they tend to
misuse
the priviledge and install games etc on the machines. Please help
