One domain accross VPN

Hi all,

I am considering setting up a new domain at a remote office. The head
office is in the USA and the remote office is in the UK. the UK office
is new and only has 4 people working there. What I was going to do was
add a domain controller in the UK office and join the US domain.

We have a permanent VPN connection between the two site and both are
running Windows 2003 SP1.

Is this a bad idea? Would it be better for the UK domain to be separate
and then create a trust between the US and UK offices?

Thanks for your help

Graham
