Tim,
Have you disabled SMB Signing in the production domain but not in the test
domain?

Tim, I want to make sure that you correctly entered in WIN95! Are youYes, I have win95 clients at many locations yet - very few win98
kidding me? Windows 95? I might be able to swallow WIN98 in today's
world, but WIN95......
Not tying to belittle you. I know that sometimes things are out of ourThat'd be great, but not possible any time soon.
hands. However, I would seriously consider upgrading / replacing the
WIN95 systems. Do I want to ask what the hardware specs are!?!?!
I know that I am not answering the question that you are asking.I agree - but, we have a production directory where they login fine -
However, I believe that it is time to get new systems (well, depending on
the hardware specs) with at least WIN2000 Pro on them. I guess that you
could go with WIN98, but why?
however, they don't on this new test directory I setup yesterday. It's
been awhile for me too, but it should be possible.
What happens if you install the ADClient? Have you tried this?I haven't tried this yet, maybe worst case scenario.
I changed my password policy to not enforce anything, set my user object
to 'User must change password at next logon' and win95 realized this and
made me change the password (which was successful) but then it said 'the
domain password you supplied is not correct, or access to your logon
server has been denied. I know my password is correct as it just let me
set it and logged right in.
Also, if I try to login with a username that doesn't exist - it will say
'The username cannot be found'. So, it seems like it can see everything
out there, there's just some little piece missing.
