Need help please, upgrading servers/dc next weekend...

Hi everyone,
I've been looking through various methods on how to do this online and there
seems to be many ways to do it, so I am asking advice.
I have an office with 2 locations, connected with a WAN. Location "Kal" has
3 servers, our main server running AD AND exchange 2000, a terminal server,
and a BlackBerry enterprise server. Our second location "Mish" only has one
server and it isn't used for anything besides file/print/dhcp provider, but
it is a DC as well. I have the task of upgrading our main server (the one
running AD and EXCH2K) by replacing it with new hardware.
Honestly, I wonder sometimes if having the DC in our second location is
worth the trouble. It is a smaller office and I could easily maintain its
users seperately from the main server. We did have some problems with the
domain when our main server died a couple years ago and getting replication
running between the two of them required a call to MS because we are not
familiar with troubleshooting DC issues.
1. Should I bother to have a DC in our second location? Would it simplify
things if I depromoted it and simply managed it manually? Is it wise to
just have one DC?
2. Given that I have 3 servers in "Kal", should I consider making the
terminal server or BlackBerry enterprise server the DC?
Once I get some advice on these questions, I'll have more questions on how
to implement!
Thanks in advance for all help,
Alan
