I might check that. One year is not the default. Well, at least not
out-of-the-box.

Out-of-the-box it looks like this:

password history: 24 passwords remembered
maximum age: 42 days
minimum age: 1 day
minimum length: 7 characters
complexity: enabled

So, I am not sure from where you have the one year (365 days).


Mike, did any of your users start receiving the 'Your password will expire
in 14 days. Do you want to change it now?' message? If so, did they take
heed? I am guessing not.

They are not getting locked out, right? They are simply being told
specifically that their password expired and that they need to change it.
Is this the case? Were they able to change it?
